VIVID IMAGING launches unlimited MRI Coil exchange program

(Newport News, VA) - VIVID IMAGING announced today the launch of its VIVID Advantage Coil Exchange program, the first of its kind in the industry. The service offers end-users unlimited access to MRI exchange coils for a low annual fee. "This program guarantees our client's a backup coil is available to them for same day shipping. What's more, there is no limit to the number of times they can exchange the coil during the annual contract term", says Curt Hagg, Sales Manager for North America. "This service provides a long awaited solution the problem of Up-Time", Says Scott Scofield, CEO of VIVID IMAGING. "We took a close look at the challenges faced by our multi-vendor, distributor and end-user clients. When a coil is down, one must either option for an expensive coil exchange or a lengthy coil repair. If you are lucky, that company may have a loaner coil, but no company stocks every coil. Our service answers those challenges for less than the cost of a repair", adds Scofield. VIVID IMAGING has expanded its MRI coil services to include European markets from its Belgium office.

VIVID IMAGING announced the launch of its Coil Exchange Program, or C.E.P. The highly-anticipated program, offered exclusively to dealers and distributors in the US diagnostic imaging equipment market, allows participants' access to VIVID's coil repair services without the traditional upfront associated costs.

"We studied the coil repair market extensively, and we believe our program addresses buyers' concerns, while creating value added support to dealers," says Curt Hagg, National Sales Manager for VIVID IMAGING. "Our program allows dealers ability to offer fully tested and warranted coils to their customers within 24 hours of purchase. Most importantly, our program is flexible to dealers with no long term commit", says Hagg. The program is currently available to dealers in the USA and Canada and will expand to Europe dealers January 2010.

Mr. Flock will assume oversight of technical operations for VIVID IMAGING’s coil labs worldwide. Prior to joining VIVID IMAGING, Mr. Flock directed MRI coil design projects for Philips Healthcare (USA) and has served as technology transfer lead, cross training technical staff on North American rapid design prototype processes at Philips Healthcare in Best, Netherlands.

VIVID IMAGING Launches MRI Coil Repair Lab Expansion Plan.

VIVID IMAGING announced an aggressive plan to expand its presence in the MRI coil repair market. Under the five-year directive, VIVID IMAGING will establish coil repair labs in key markets, which include Europe, Middle East, and Oceania/Asia.

"This project was initiated two years ago. We wanted to ensure we entered these markets fully prepared and our Quality and ISO initiatives were priorities for us", says Scott Scofield, President & CEO of VIVID IMAGING. "Today, our MRI coil technical talent is concentrated at one facility. Each facility will be built around expertise of the dominate coil OEM for that local market. Utilizing live link technology, our labs will be connected via live video feed for project collaborations, promoting technical synergies and resource sharing," says Scofield. The initiative calls for the construction of three labs over the next five years. The first lab will be established near VIVID's E.U. headquarters in Diegem, Belgium. The facility is scheduled for completion 1st quarter of 2010.

VIVID IMAGING announces new European Headquarters.

VIVID IMAGING formally announced the launch of its European headquarters in Diegem, Belgium. The new facility will serve as the nerve center for all E.U. business activities under VIVID IMAGING. "We are pleased with the success of this initiative and it marks an important era for us", says Scott Scofield, President & CEO of VIVID IMAGING. "We have held a presence in Europe for many years but as a private label service company, which prohibited us from branding our name. Today, we are able to bring brand awareness to the market and eliminate the call for transatlantic decision-making processes", says Scofield. The new site will officially open April 15, 2009 and is scheduled to assume 100% control of EU business operations August 1, 2009.

Massachusetts GeneralHospital to conduct performance trial on CT Expres III

Mass General will conduct a product performance trial on the CT Expres III, the first syringe-less, FDA cleared for multi-dose contrast injector for the CT environment.

The trial will measure the performance of the CT Expres III against traditional injectors in speed, ease of use and other performance factors.
"Unlike syringe loaded injectors, the CT Expres III offers users the freedom to choose any brand of contrast delivered from any bottle size. Because the bottle is loaded directly into the injector, users realize the ability purchase bulk contrast and process up to 1000ml without the need to stop and reload. They simply insert a new patient delivery cassette which takes 15 seconds to perform. Moreover, pushing contrast directly from the source bottle reduces wasted contrast and utilizes all available contrast from the source bottle" says Curtis Hagg, National Sales Manager for VIVID IMAGING.
